Play this scenario in your mind -
Your brother is getting married. Only a few days to go before the
wedding festivities start. The house has been cleaned up and decorated. All
your clothes are set up according to the functions. Dance practices are on.
Everybody seems to be doing something or other. Distant relatives are starting
to show up. The house is all clean and spotless. You are all excited and ready
to enjoy every bit of it. Facials, cleansing, what not – All for getting some
beautiful pictures!
You wake up all refreshed to enjoy the various functions. The house is
booming with the newly polished floors and the inmates exploding with joy.
Someone is shouting your name above the music of 'Dhol-thali'. You are all
energized with the wedding cheer and get up.
You look into the mirror and BAM!
All your happiness, all the cheer, all the dreams of posing silly in
various pictures, everything is just gone. Whoosh!
Wondering why?
Because of that small, round, red swelling on your face... Because of
that little ugly PIMPLE!
That small devil right above your upper lip is spreading a red colour
that even an artificial blush can't provide.
Painful, isn’t it?
Well, this was just one scenario. Such blunders keep happening in all of
our everyday life. A clean, spotless face is a not just a confidence booster
but also a mood up lifter. On the other hand, a little pimple can be the reason
of being locked in the room with windows shut tight.
Not only all the plans of heading out go unattended, but it also brings
out the worst of mood swings.
The various ways of getting rid of an acne-decorated face used by me -
- Sandalwood paste
- Mashed Neem leaves
- Paste of mashed cloves
- Rubbing ice cubes to reduce
redness and swelling
- Aloe Vera gel
- Nutmeg paste
- Many acne removal creams,
face wash and what not
- Clinically advised pills
Some worked, some didn't. Various cosmetic companies targeted this
desperation and made huge chunks of money, launching a new acne remedy every
single day but they hardly worked.
Sometimes it seems to me that puberty is trying to come back to me. >_<
However, I’ve been recommended to use the Garnier Pure Active Neem Face
Wash by quite a few people and by the looks of it, it seems promising. So, why
not give it a try as well?
